TSU School of Law secures spot in int'l moot court compet

Tarlac State University's School of Law emerged as one of the qualifiers in the Price Media Law Moot Court International rounds after placing fifth in the Asia Pacific rounds from January 21-24, 2025 at the Lyceum University of the Philippines.

Tarlac State University's School of Law emerged as one of the qualifiers in the Price Media Law Moot Court International rounds after placing fifth in the Asia Pacific rounds from January 21-24, 2025 at the Lyceum University of the Philippines. 

The SOL Moot and Debate Society, as first-timers in this moot court competition, will participate in the international rounds in Oxford, England, in April 2025.

Apart from the team placing fifth, second-year law student Angelika G. Alingog was awarded the 8th Best Speaker.

The other speakers are Dariane G. Odon, Lloyd Hero B. Abuan, Angelo F. Cabilbil, Kathleen Elysse D. Corpuz, and Lumiere Iris C. Garrido.

Meanwhile, the researchers are Jericho N. Pascual, Khalifa Mark R. Balmores, Ma. Virjeanette D. Espiritu.

The team's coach is Atty. Vivien Claire Coleen Yalung, which was also supervised by SOL Dean Dr. Jose I. dela Rama, Jr.

Other law schools from the Asia-Pacific Region that will compete and represent the region in the international rounds are Singapore Management University, University of International Business and Economics, University of the Phillipines, Peking University School Transnational Law, National University of Singapore, and Jose Maria College.
